Four things few people know about this Qigong set

By Marcus Santer

The Saturday Quote:

“If you can’t explain it simply,
you don’t understand it well enough.”
Albert Einstein

I’m pretty sure Einstein wasn’t talking about Qigong when he said that, but it still applies.

I’ll be honest, I feel exhausted today.

How come?

Because after 4 days of graft I’ve finally completed the Shaolin 18 Exercises part of the ZEN+ Home Study Course (Z+HSC).

I downed tools last night about 18:30 and tallied everything up.

This single section of the Silver members area weighs in with the following stats:

And as many words as I needed to explain everything clearly and systematically and not a word more or less.

I’m confident my 8 year old nephew could work through the pages and nail this set.

How come?

Well, I tested it as much as possible when I first released the material in the monthly ZEN+ Journal, between March 2013 and August 2014.

During that 17 month period I worked closely with a number of Journal readers to help them get to grips with it.

Though to be fair I have been teaching this Qigong set since 2008.

Now the Shaolin 18 Exercises has an interesting history not many people know about. It was created by my teacher as a less expensive set his instructors could teach to the public.

At that time we only taught the Shaolin 18 Lohan Hands.

Due to requests from his students for a set that could be taught to people who couldn’t afford to learn the 18 Lohan Hands, he created the Shaolin 18 Exercises.

And there are four interesting facts about this set:

  1. There are only 16 exercises – Exercises 17 and 18 are Energy Flow and Standing Zen.
  2. The set frequently gave those who practiced it better results than those who practiced the 18 Lohan Hands
  3. Because 10 of the 16 exercises are taken from Shaolin Kung Fu and Taijiquan it is an excellent primer for those interested in these arts.
  4. You can practice this Qigong set in 5 different way depending on what your aims and objectives for your practice are.

It really is very special.

And I’ve explained it all clearly and simply.

Now you could become a member of the ZEN+ Journal and then buy the 17 back issues you’d need to gather the material to learn this set. For the PDF’s it would cost you £255 ($381 / 353 Euro) or you can wait and you’ll find it all collected together in one convenient place in the Z+HSC.

Not to mention as a Silver member, you’ll also gain access to everything else you’ll find in the Bronze and Silver sections of the Z+HSC.

It’s all clearly laid out in this Mind-Map

I tell you, I hadn’t realise how huge the Shaolin 18 Exercises section was going to be, but now it’s complete I’m hoping to be able to speed ahead and get the rest of the Z+HSC done.

So all I need to do now is wish you a lovely weekend…

Take Louis out for his morning walk…

And then get back to building the Z+HSC.

I’m aiming for completion early May and yes, early bird discounts will available to ZEN+ Daily readers.

Bye for now
