ZEN+ : Simple, Direct, Effective : ZEN+ Benefits

You don’t deserve to be healthy…

By Marcus Santer

I hate greeting you like this on a Monday morning.

But it’s my job as your trusted advisor to pour a bucket of cold water on you every now and then and to give it to you straight.

And in my experience you don’t get what you deserve, you get what you work for.

This applies to all areas of your life.

And your health is no different.

But you know what?

This is fantastic news.

How come?

Because it means if you put in the work required you’ll get the results.

Which can’t always be said about other areas of your life.

And it’s been very well documented over and over again what your body needs you to do for it… In order for it to stack the odds of a fit, healthy and disease free life in your favour.

These are the actions proven to promote and maintain your health:

  1. Don’t smoke
  2. Drink alcohol in moderation or not at all
  3. Get between 7 to 9 hours of fantastic sleep each night
  4. Actively build strength
  5. Walk more
  6. Avoid being sedentary for long periods of time
  7. Avoid processed and refined foods
  8. Manage stress effectively
  9. Be grateful
  10. Make sure you’re socially connected

Fortunately non of this is rocket science.

But it can be hard work, especially into today’s:

World many of us seem to be living in.

And as a result, taking care of yourself is often relegated so far down your to do list it never gets done.

So there’s a good chance you’re going to struggle to carve out the time.

But get your priorities right.

And your body will reward you handsomely.

Because it wants you to be fit, active, strong and healthy…

Sure, you deserve health, but the way the world works means you’re going to have to work for it.

And you can discover the most comprehensive book written on this subject…

Bye for now

Marcus

P.S. Well, we’re a week into the 6 week school holidays.

And sofa so good.

Though I have found myself playing a lot more scrabble than usual.

I’d forgotten how fun board games with my family can be.

But if anyone gets the Monopoly set out…

Oh, boy.

Let’s just say I’m going to have to take a pass on that one.

Playing games with friends and family is a great way to enhance your sense of social connection. Which is a vital part of staying healthy.
