The Unsexy way to get to and keep your ideal weight

By Marcus Santer

Okay, let’s finish this up.

If you need it…

Part one is ==> Here <== and Part 2 ==> Here <== 8) Expectations? Keep yours realistic – It didn’t take you a few weeks to lose your ideal weight and the sensible truth nobody wants to hear is you won’t get back into your ideal shape in a few weeks either.

I mean you can lose a lot of weight in a short time.

But it’s not healthy, it’s not sustainable and when you stop whatever starvation plan you’re on, you’ll probably get it all back again.

So here’s what you do…

  1. Work out your healthy Body Mass Index – Just quickly your BMI is the relationship between your height and your weight. Ideally you’re aiming for a result between 18.5 and 24.9. To work out what your current BMI is and what your weight needs to be to reach an ideal BMI use a BMI calculater. I like ==> This One <==
  2. Get to work – A sensible target is to lose 0.5 to 1kg (1lb to 2lb) a week. How you do it is up to you. Remember sensibly idea #6.

9) Don’t do it alone – For some sensible folk being part of a group of people with the same target can be a great help.

But what do you do if you’re anti-social like me?

Because the truth is, you’re more likely to put yourself out and stick to your plan if someone else is involved than if you’re doing this on your own.

So if you can take this sensible journey with a buddy.

So that when it gets tough… And it will get tough… You’ll know somebody who’s in the same boat, who gets what you’re going through and can support you. And you can do the same for them.

As the song by Bill Withers goes…

“We all need somebody to lean on.”

10) Never give up – The road is long… With many winding turns… Hey I’ll quote the truth wherever I find it! There’s a good chance you’re going to face obstacles and challenges on your sensible journey to your ideal weight.

As the saying goes…

“If it was easy, everyone would do it.”

Now armed with these 10 sensible tips you’re stacking the odds of success well and truly in your favour, but I’d be lying if I said it was going to be easy.

So if you:

You know, basically act like a human being having an off day whilst making significant changes in their life…

Get back in the saddle as quickly as you can.

Losing even a small amount of weight can bring worthwhile benefits.

So keep going.

And because I always like to over deliver whenever possible…

Here’s a bonus unsexy way to stack the odds of success in your favour…

11) If it ain’t in your cupboard – During one of my eating nothing but Real Food experiments I found myself in the Forbidden Zone of the supermarket.

You know the part I mean.

I was in the process of reaching out for a packet of Chocolate Hob Nobs, one of the most unreal foods you can eat – when it suddenly hit me…

If it’s not in the cupboard you can’t eat it.

I know it seems obvious, but the best ideas usually are… When you finally have them.

If the foods that aren’t going to help you on your sensible journey to your ideal weight don’t end up in your shopping basket… Then they won’t end up in your cupboard… And if they ain’t in your cupboard… You can’t eat them later.

Result!

Now last time I checked, when I walked around the supermarket or did my food shopping online, nobody was stood next to me, holding a gun to my head and saying:

“Buy the Hobnobs or I’m gonna shoot you.”

Now I might be wrong, but I’m guessing the same is true for you?

So remember, don’t buy em and then you can’t eat em.

Sensible huh?

Okay, I’m done.

I hope you’ve found these 11 sensible, unsexy ways to your ideal weight of value.

But remember, as much as I enjoy entertaining you, I much prefer helping you to create sustained change.

And because your life is the result of what you do and not what you know, it’s with great love and respect that I tell you to take what I’ve written and…

Get to work!

Bye for now

Marcus
