Do you have to be Strong Man strong to age well?

I recently watched a documentary on Worlds Strongest man competitor Eddie Hall.

It was a real eye opener especially revealing about what it takes to become StrongMan strong.

For starters…

You’re looking at spending £250 every week on food and aiming to eat about 10,000 calories a day.

You’re going to have to bulk up to 25 plus stone.

Which means travelling on public transport becomes nearly impossible and you might have to wear an oxygen mask at night to prevent sleep apnea.

You’re going to have to work out in the gym for over 10 hours a week.

And I mean working out to the point of passing out, vomiting and having nose bleeds.

After breaking the world deadlift record, Eddie was exerting so much effort blood vessels in his head ‘exploded’ causing him to briefly pass out. He said the lift nearly killed him.

You’re going to be spending so much time training, practicing and competing that you’ll probably only see you family for an hour or two each week.

And if you’re serious about becoming StrongMan strong you have to follow this plan for years.

Living with aches, pains and injuries.

Fortunately being Healthy Ageing Strong requires a lot less time, effort, money and commitment.
