ZEN+ : Simple, Direct, Effective : ZEN+ Benefits

A proven way to get good at anything…

By Marcus Santer

I‘ve been messing up a lot recently.

To name just a few.

But each time I mess up, I try not to make the same mistake again – although sometimes I do =)

And you know what I realised?

The process for getting better at anything is the same process I used to get good at:

And pretty much anything I’ve got pretty good at.

So what is this unsexy way to get good at anything?

It’s so easy and I can sum it up in 1 word:

Practice

Don’t believe me?

Okay, let’s say you want to get good at meditating.

All you do is start out being a rubbish meditator and meditate yourself better.

Or perhaps you want to get good at baking.

Same thing.

Start out being a rubbish baker and bake yourself better.

This principle works for anything.

Start out being rubbish at it and practice your way better.

You name it.

Practice is the way to getting good.

It’s the same with stacking the odds of a longer, healthier, happier and more independent life in your favour.

You start out being pretty rubbish at it and by applying and practicing ZEN+ Lifestyle habits you get good at it and your life gets better as a by product.

Look, I know practice isn’t sexy.

And perhaps you were hoping I was going to share something really cool with you.

Sorry.

These days everyone wants a cool ninja ‘Hack’ or some kind of Jedi mind trick.

Something to short cut the process and give them what they want without them actually having to, you know, do anything.

But my experience has shown me time and again that practice is the way to get good at something.

And if you’ve got an expert showing you exactly what to practice…

Well, that’s the only shortcut of worth I’ve ever discovered.

And when it comes to living and ageing well…

If you’d like to know what to practice and why…

You need a copy of this.

Bye for now

Marcus

P.S. What if you already practice and yet you’re not getting the kinda result you want?

Three things spring to mind…

  1. How much are you actually practicing? How many hours of practice are you clocking up? Chances are, if you’re not making progress, you’re not practicing enough. What’s enough? Well keep in mind that the number bandied around by experts on Mastery is: 10,000 of practice to get really good at something…
  2. Are you practicing the correct things? Bad example but it makes the point: You want to learn French, but you’re practicing German. In this example you can easily see what the problem is. Take a look at what you’re practicing and make sure it’s going to get you good at what you want to get good at. Maybe you need to make a slight course correction.
  3. Where are you getting your instructions from? If all of your practice is coming from stuff you learned in books, online material and DVD’s, and you’re still not making the kinda progress you want… You need to get a real, in the flesh teacher to show you the way.

And if you want to get good at living and ageing well…

Make this your next stop.
