ZEN+ : Helping you Stay Young and Age Well

Why it’s cool to FAIL…

By Marcus Santer

Here’s my favourite quote from the week:

“F.A.I.L stands for First Attempt Is Learning”
Andy Bounds

Love this.

I came across it whilst following a strand of information from a report titled:

“Health expectations at birth and at age 65 in the UK, based on 2011 Census health and disability prevalence data: 2010 to 2012.”

As I’m fond of saying…

I read this stuff so you don’t have to =)

It’s the latest findings from the Office of National Statistics and whilst it might sound as exciting as a dry biscuit, it’s really rather fascinating.

It paints a very clear – evidenced based – picture that the average person is living longer in ‘fair’ health and ‘Bad or very bad’ health.

Who wants that?

Anyway, I’m revealing all of my findings in this months ZEN+ Journal.

Things like:

Of course all of the above would make for spectacularly depressing reading if I didn’t also make it clear exactly what you can do to avoid becoming a victim of these statistics.

It’s a lot easier than you think.

Well, when you know how.

I’ll also be sharing my findings and thoughts on Super foods and supplements – they certainly run contrary to the popular view (oops!).

And if I can find the space I’m also going to share the research behind what’s really driving the so called obesity epidemic.

I gotta get going.

I’m off to Hilary Johnson Handmade in Chulmeigh for a leather working class.

I want to learn how to make cool, handmade leather sheaths for my knives, which brings me back to the quote at the start of this post.

I’ve never done anything like this before…

In fact, I think the last time I stitched something was back in school when I managed to sew a pencil case I was working on, to the bottom of my blazer… Don’t ask.

So I’m expecting lots of learning and I can’t wait to FAIL.

Okay, I’m outta here…

…You on the other hand should consider becoming a ZEN+ Journal reader.

Full details here.

Bye for now
