ZEN+ : Helping you Stay Young and Age Well

This Could Be The Best Thing You Do Today

By Marcus Santer

How exciting…

You’ve got until 23:59 tonight and then this year is a wrap.

Which makes right now a great time for a bit of reflection.

In fact, if you’ve got a spare 30 minutes available I suggest you do the following:

  1. Write a list of your Top 10 achievements, breakthroughs and highlights of 2014
  2. Celebrate your good fortune and feel good about this list
  3. Now write down your answer to this question: “What was your biggest disappointment?
  4. Then write down 3 things you learned or changed as a result of this disappointment.
  5. Finally give some thought to the #1 goal you’d like to focus on in 2015

Now, if your inbox is anything like mine, you’ll see that the whole: time for reflection and goal setting – thing is getting a bit of kicking this year.

Or maybe it’s just the emails I get?

Personally I believe what my callisthenics teacher – Al Kavadlo – once told me:

“Anytime you’re trying to better yourself,
you’re doing something right.”

So make sure you carve out some time today, or tomorrow to reflect on where you’ve been, where you want to go and most importantly…

How do you plan on getting there?

Oh, and whilst I’m on this subject, let me share a little pearl of wisdom I’ve discovered from years of creating deliberate change and sustained growth.

Be very careful with deadlines.

Don’t get me twisted, you should have them if you can. Because as Napoleon Hill – the great grand-daddy of success literature – put it:

“A goal is a dream with a deadline.”

But just make sure your deadlines are realistic. Cos there’s nothing quite as deflating than a deadline you keep missing.

Oh, and another thing.

Please don’t fall for that BS they keep rolling out this time of year.

You know, that whole: “It takes 21 days to install a new habit.”

It’s a crock of donkey snot.

As I point out on page 21 of the soon to be released: ZEN+ book researchers found it took an average of 66 days to install a new habit. And that the length of time is very much affected by the level of dedication required to nail the new habit.

I cover habits and behaviours a lot in the book.

How come?

Because if you want different results in 2015, you’re going to have to take on some new habits and behaviours.

No other way of doing it.

And to help make it as easy for you as possible, I’ve created what I call the 30-Day ZEN+ Challenge and you’ll find it in the back of the book.

But if you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet…

You won’t have got your complimentary PDF version…

And you won’t have a clue what I’m on about.

Whatever… Just remember the old adage:

“If you always do, what you’ve always done,
you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”

So if you want something different in 2015, you’re gonna have to do something different….

Anyway, I don’t want to keep you, I suggest you spend the next 30 minutes on the simple exercise I set you at the start of this post.

Bye for 2014

P.S. Thanks for reading these daily emails.

It means the world to me knowing you allow me to be one of your trusted advisors.

And whatever you end up doing tonight – enjoy your celebrations.

I’ll be wrapped up snug as a bug in a rug by 10:30pm.

And whilst everyone else is nursing hang-overs and trying to remember what they did or said tomorrow.

I’ll be out there taking steps and making moves to make my dreams a reality =)

Here’s a great place for you to get started on yours.
