ZEN+ : Helping you Stay Young and Age Well

The Power of Switching Off

By Marcus Santer

My brother in law is head of IT support at one of the most well-known University’s in England.

And he agrees.

The most frequently used and effective tool in his arsenal is getting users to:

Turn it off and turn it back on again.

Cures a lot of problems.

Works with phones too.

Earlier this week Clarabella got her new fancy-pants phone up and running. Except it was having a real brain fart around sending texts. So I shut everything down, turned it off and then powered it back up again and…

Works a treat.

And you need to make sure you do this too.

That’s why sleep is so vitally important if you want to operate at your best. It has the effect of turning you off and turning you back on again. And if you did it right you’ll find you work better too.

And Qigong is a powerful tool for giving you similar benefits.

Except you can do it in 15 minutes (if you do it the way I teach) instead of 7 to 9 hours.

Turn it off – Turn it back on again is a great metaphor, but one I’d never thought of before until Yvi wrote to me.

Yvi’s the PERFECT Qigong Workshop organiser for Norway.

And she recently sent me some copy to review for a leaflet she’s planning to put together to advertise the workshops where she lives. I can’t tell you how delighted I was when I read this:

Have you ever restarted your computer? And been amazed that it suddenly worked perfectly again, just because you turned it off, and then on again?

We humans are like that, too. We need to be switched completely off from time to time.

That’s why people for thousands of years have made use of relaxation techniques, meditation, prayer and so on in order to find new energy. Yoga is one such method, Qigong is another.

Qigong was created in China thousands of years ago and exists today in many variations. Usually it is practised standing, but it can be adjusted if you cannot stand.

I love it, I think it’s a great piece of copy and I think Yvi would make a great copywriter with a bit of training.

The Norway PERFECT Qigong workshops aren’t until October and you’ll be hearing a lot about them as they get closer.

But I just wanted to put it on your radar.

And If you can’t wait until October, or if you’re not going to be able to make it to Norway then you can find out more about PERFECT Qigong here.

Bye for now

P.S. If you’d like to find out how you can get a copy of my PERFECT Qigong Book and DVD for free…

Go here.

But hurry because this offer will be taken down once the ZEN+ Home Study Course is up and running.
