ZEN+ : Simple, Direct, Effective : ZEN+ Benefits

Remember this when all else fails…

Have you ever woken up in a morning and for whatever reason…

… You’re simply not feeling it?

You had a good nights sleep, so it can’t be that.

And there are no stretches out of your comfort zone lined up for the day ahead.

Heck, it’d be better if there was…

… Because at least then you could put your finger on what it was that was making your feel out of sorts.

So you get up…

Maybe even go for a walk in the countryside…

… But even that doesn’t lift your spirits.

Perhaps you make a gratitude list and even then the fog doesn’t lift.

Not ready to give up you might:

But no matter what you do…

… The sun don’t shine inside.

At times like this I like to remember the story told by Abraham Lincoln on September 30th 1859.

In case you’re wondering…

… It goes like this:

It is said an Eastern monarch once changed his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations.

They presented him the words: “And this, too, shall pass away.”

How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!

Thanks Abe.

Now this story crops up in many different guises.

But whatever its source I find that on days like these it helps me to keep on moving.
