ZEN+ : Helping you Stay Young and Age Well

If you only remember one thing today… Make sure it’s this…

By Marcus Santer

The Sunday Quote:

“No matter how many mistakes you make
or how slow your progress, you are still way ahead
of everyone who isn’t trying.”
Tony Robbins

I really like this quote.

As someone who enjoys learning and discovering new things, I regularly get to feel make mistakes and get frustrated with my progress…

This quote helps to remind me that even slow progress is still progress.

Here’s an example…

As you might know I like high-end custom folding knives.

And a few years ago I decided that instead of lusting after things I couldn’t afford, I’d learn how to make them instead.

Two years later it’s easy to look at what I’m producing and give up.

Because the gulf between the knives I’m making and the knives I want to make is still so huge.

It’s frustrating and often demoralising.

Earlier this week, I made a mistake and it cost me two days of work.

Here’s another example…

Four years ago when I started out on my journey to become the strongest version of myself I never thought I’d be able to do a single pull up.

For over a year I made hardly any progress whatsoever.

In fact I started to think I had the weakest pull up muscles on the planet.

But I kept practicing.

And now I can pop out 10 solid pull ups.

I could go on with even more examples…

But you know what?

These ZEN+ daily’s aren’t about me, they’re about you.

They’re about helping you to get up off your gluteus-ass-maximus and go about creating your version of a life worth loving.

I provide the tools and the inspiration…

You just have to put in the work.

So whatever you’re working on being able to do, be or have, remember…

Slow progress is still progress.

And when it comes to stacking the odds of a longer, healthier and happier life firmly in your favour…

It pays to practice tried and tested tools.
