ZEN+ : Helping you Stay Young and Age Well

If this isn’t a big idea worth shouting about… I don’t know what is.

By Marcus Santer

Whilst walking with Louis this morning across the golf course, I finished my gratitude list and let my mind wander as I took in the breathtaking view across the bay towards Torquay.

And I got to thinking about The Healthy Ageing Pyramid (or The HAP as I’ll call it from here on in).

More specifically I got to thinking about what’s the BIG idea behind it?

Why should you be bothered to put down whatever you’re doing and sit up and take notice of it?

Because I don’t know about you, but the big battle today seems to be for your attention, what with advertisers blasting you with anywhere between 4,000 and 10,000 ads a day [1]

So what is it that makes The HAP so important?

Here’s my answer…

When you look deeply into the research [2] – like I have – on the longest living, healthiest groups on people (not individuals) you can’t help but notice the same lifestyle habits keep cropping up.

… And Over…

… Again.

And that’s the big idea of The HAP…

There are no secrets to living
and ageing well

Just as there are no secrets to reducing your risk of [3]:

And if that isn’t a big idea worth sharing I don’t know what is.

Forget whatever quackery, useless gizmo or supplement that well paid celebrity is pimping and embrace healthy lifestyle habits instead, because the habits you need to adopt if you’re serious about living strong, healthy and independent to a 100 are well documented, time-tested and proven.

Trouble is:

  1. They’re mostly prevention based which means they’re hard to make money out of. Which is why they get drowned out by the gizmos’s, gadgets, fads and supplements pimped by marketers and celebrities out to make a quick buck [4].
  2. They’re not particularly newsworthy – because they’re not new – and so they get ignored by headline hungry health reporters.
  3. They involve effort – Unlike those health products and supplements promising near miracle results in double quick time with no effort required.

All of which means:

The first 6 habits of The HAP are about as sexy as a pig in a dress.

And my business friends are always telling me to move into a different niche or sell a more popular product.

I like to sleep at night with a clear conscience.

Plus I like the certainty of knowing the first 6 habits of The HAP (the 7th is a bit of a red herring) can help you to stack the odds of a longer, healthier and happier life in your favour.

And here’s a bonus big idea for you, based on my first hand experience of watching and helping people to apply The HAP to their lives…

Small choices can lead to big changes.

And I’m going to share all of my findings and research with you in my new book – coming January 2017.
