ZEN+ : Helping you Stay Young and Age Well

I shivered when I read this

By Marcus Santer

The Saturday Quote:

“Most people you know will die earlier than necessary because of their diet. It’s not going to be terrorism, traffic accidents or murder. It’s going to be their food.”

When I read this quote I physically shivered at how blunt it was.

But there’s no denying there’s an element of truth to it.

Though it’s not quite as simple as that.

How much you move during the day and how well you rest and recharge also play a significant role in your health and longevity.

There is no secret to living and ageing well.

And you’re stacking the odds of a longer, healthier and happier life significantly in your favour.

Now then, I’ve covered the what you need to do and why you need to do it pretty extensively in the ZEN+ book. And if you’ve read it, or if you’ve been reading my ZEN+ writings for a while, you know this already.

But then there’s a huge gap between knowing what to do and doing what you know.

Wouldn’t you agree?

So if you find yourself nodding your head in agreement, yet what you do on a daily basis doesn’t match up with what you know.

There’s a question you need to ask yourself.

And I don’t just mean ask it, think about it for a few seconds and then forget about it.

Ugh, ugh.

That won’t do.

You deserve better than that.

I suggest you carve out a 15 minute chunk of time when you won’t be disturbed and then ask yourself this question.

And when you’ve asked it, focus on nothing else until the times up.

Really chew it over.

Make notes if that helps.

And what is the question?

It goes like this:

“What’s stopping me doing what I know
when it comes to <fill in the blank>”

Where <fill in the blank> could be:

Or any specific aspect of a ZEN+ Lifestyle you’re not following through on in the way you’d like to.

And don’t just go with the first answer that comes up.

Dig deeper.

Deeper still.

For the time you’ve scheduled to do this, be focused and be disciplined, refuse to consider anything else other than the question at hand.

Look at your answers and consider what you can do to overcome these obstacles to the health, strength and fitness you want.

Because they won’t fix themselves.

It’s up to you.

Bye for now
