It’s been a long while since a piece of research got me this excited.

Yeah, you’re probably right… Maybe I should get out more.

But then you’d have to do your own research =)

Anyway…

What’s this all about?

It’s to do with this study:

Physical activity does not influence obesity risk:

Your right, I was salivating too when I saw the title.

But in case you don’t have the time let me try and sum it up.

Though, please keep in mind this is my best current understanding of the subject.

Because having just skimmed the article and several of the debate articles seeking to undermine the original authors findings and read the authors response to the commentaries…

I might change my mind =)

However…

Nobody is claiming you don’t need physical exercise.

Let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water here folks!

Because exercise is proven to give you the following benefits:

It’s just that when it comes to weight management the data shows physical activity really isn’t all that.

Okay…

I’ve barely had time to scratch the surface on this study and the debate it’s sparked.

But rest assured I will.
